Jesus Christ didn’t simply teach individuals.

According to the New Testament, He called apostles, gave authority, taught ordinances, sent disciples into the world and established an organized body of believers.

That raises a question I believe is worth asking:

What did the original Church of Jesus Christ actually look like?

I’m not a trained theologian. I’m an author and researcher who became fascinated by this question while using Super Intelligence — human intelligence working together with artificial intelligence — to research and compare scripture.

Instead of beginning with a modern denomination, I decided to begin somewhere else.

The New Testament.

What Was Actually There?

Read through the New Testament and certain elements repeatedly appear.

There were apostles and prophets.

There were evangelists, pastors, teachers, bishops or overseers, elders and deacons.

People were called and ordained.

Authority mattered.

Baptism mattered.

The laying on of hands appears repeatedly.

People received the Holy Ghost.

There were spiritual gifts, healing, anointing with oil, missionary work and revelation.

These weren’t concepts invented centuries later.

They appear in the biblical description of early Christianity.

So I started asking:

How much of that original pattern survived?

What Happened to the Apostles?

This question particularly interests me.

Jesus selected twelve apostles.

When Judas was gone, Matthias was selected to take his place.

Paul was also called as an apostle.

That makes me wonder:

If apostles were important enough to Christ’s Church that a vacancy was filled after His resurrection, when did the Church stop needing apostles?

The same question can be asked about prophets.

Paul described the Church as being built upon “the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”

If Christ remains the cornerstone, what happened to the rest of that organizational pattern?

Reformation or Restoration?

Christian history eventually produced many movements seeking to reform Christianity.

Some challenged corruption.

Some challenged doctrine.

Some wanted scripture placed directly into the hands of ordinary people.

Those efforts profoundly influenced Christianity.

But they raise another question.

What if something had been lost that couldn’t simply be reformed?

Suppose authority, organization or ordinances established by Christ had disappeared.

Would Christianity need a reformation?

Or would it need a restoration?

That distinction became one of the central questions of my research.

The Challenge

I call this Goldwell’s Challenge.

And it’s very simple:

Prove me wrong.

I’m not asking anyone to accept my conclusions because I wrote a book.

I’m certainly not asking anyone to believe something because artificial intelligence produced an answer.

I’m asking readers to do something much more useful.

Check the evidence yourself.

Take the organization and practices described in the New Testament.

Make your own list.

Then compare that list with Christianity today.

Ask:

Is there a Church today that contains the organization, authority, ordinances and principles found in the Church established by Jesus Christ?

If there is, which one?

Super Intelligence and an Ancient Question

There is something remarkable about conducting this investigation today.

An ordinary person now has research capabilities that would have been unimaginable not very long ago.

Artificial intelligence can help search enormous bodies of information, identify relevant passages, compare translations, organize questions and challenge assumptions.

But that doesn’t make AI the authority.

Scripture remains the evidence being examined, and the reader still has to think.

That’s what I mean by Super Intelligence.

Human curiosity and judgment remain at the center. AI expands what the individual can investigate.

It helped me ask more questions.

Some of those questions became uncomfortable.

Others became fascinating.

Together they eventually became a project called THE TRUTH.

Investigate It Yourself

I’ve created an online resource where readers can explore these questions one at a time.

Among the subjects are:

What Church Did Jesus Establish?

Apostles and Prophets

Does God Still Speak?

Reformation or Restoration?

The Bible and the Book of Mormon

The “Other Sheep” Jesus Mentioned

Why Another Book of Scripture?

And other questions about Jesus Christ, Christianity, scripture and restoration.

You can begin here:

https://www.mykindlebooks.net/the-truth

You don’t have to agree with me.

Actually, disagreement is part of the experiment.

Read. Investigate. Compare.

Then decide for yourself.

And if the evidence shows that I’m wrong—

prove me wrong.
